While Glenn’s in Gisborne waiting for his ham radio repairs, he’s been attending to a number of boat maintenance jobs. He’s also had the opportunity to explore some of the local area on foot and enjoy a swim at a local beach.
Here’s a look at the beautiful harbour at Gisborne from a nearby hilltop. Think warm, sunny and the air filled with the scent of tropical frangipani.
This Bonaparte Gull (sitting on its nest in front of the concrete piling) is Glenn’s new wharf mate. Both seem to have settled in to their new spots rather nicely. Glenn expects to install the ham radio today and start testing.
Thank you for the update, Marylou. You are the trophy wife!
May the winds be behind you, filling your sail, Glenn!
Have fun!
Trust me, there isn’t a trophy big enough…
I have been following you for the last 3 yrs. You painted such a wonderful monologue coming down to Gisbourne.
The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails.
and ….We know which one you are.
Cheers from White Rock,B.C.
